I have spent much time among the tattoo artists in the tattoo studios around the world and have found a variety of different people coming through the door of the tattoo studio to permanently mark their bodies. Many times I have wondered why so many people under pressure to get inked.
People get tattoos for many different reasons. Some people simply because they love them and think they look good or to improve their appearance, others to be part of a "tribe" or group, and others to mark a milestone in their lives, like a family, or to express love to another person. You could say that there are so many reasons to be tattooed, as there are human experiences. Due to the uniqueness of each journey of life no two people are the same reasons.
In these situations the person who wants a tattoo probably has a lot of thought into the tattoo and maybe the same tattoo that has some kind of psychological meaning, for example, when someone has a tattoo portrait of a loved one recently died psychologically want to go near them for the rest of their lives. Or maybe a person has been abandoned by a rejected lover and want a tattoo of a broken heart or a caged bird to signify their loss.Humans have to modify their bodies with ink and steel for many thousands of years. Many people see tattoos and body modification as a spiritual practice. Before the advent of modern pain management, pain was seen as a natural part of life carrying a variety of spiritual and social meanings. But as time rolled on he began to deny the existence of something beyond our physical bodies.
As a result, many people without tattoos can not see beyond the image recorded on the body of people with the deeper meaning or symbolism behind the tattoo.
